ORIENTATION:

Wroclaw’s old town area is very tourist friendly. Everything you may need – shops , bars restaurants, are scatered throughout the streets leading to the main market. In the centre there is the vast area of the main market square ( rynek ) It is one of the most beautiful squares of Europe. Richly illuminated at night, with beautiful fountain in the middle (bathing is highly forbidden) Even though Wroclaw suffered heavily during the second world war, you can hardly tell that, by the way how precisely everything has been reconstructed. Today, it is one of the most quickly developing Polish cities, attracting foreign investors and tourists, from all over the world.
TAXIS

In Wroclaw there is a large number of different taxi companies. You should definitely avoid taxis that do not have a company name (usually combined with telephone number ) on the side doors. These ‘ wild taxis’ are often waiting by pub and club exits and are eager to overcharge their customers. You can order the taxi by phone. Always check that the meter is running and you should receive a printed receipt. If you have any complain – call the company phone number from the side doors.
BUSES AND TRAMS
There are numerous tram and bus lines covering the city area. Using them is very easy. Once you go on board you have to punch your ticket. You can get them all across the city. Small kiosks, newspaper stands and some shops all have tickets for sale. Regular one is 2.00 zloty.
